The National Investment Commission (NIC), an Iraqi governmental agency, launched a
nationwide investment program in 2010 which will result in the construction of 1,000,000
social housing units in total across Iraq's 15 Governorates and the Kurdistan region (of
which c. 250,000 in the Baghdad region). The Sandi Group and Paris-Babylone consortium has been an early participant in this
program and aims at developing a first block of 10,000 units together with all necessary
utilities and facilities. |
